Friday, September 1:   

“An intelligent mind acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. Proverbs 18:15

Pray for our students and teachers as they continue to transition into the new school year. Ask God to help our children grow in their love of learning and in their knowledge of Jesus.

Saturday, September 2:

Pray for all those who are traveling this Labor Day weekend.

Remember our church as we begin a new Church Year.  Pray for all our teacher as they prepare to lead Sunday School tomorrow morning.

Sunday, September 3:

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” Galatians 5:22-23

On this final weekend of summer, pray for all the fall activities that are gearing up at the church. 

Ask God to help us all show the fruits of the Spirit in our lives!

Monday, September 4: (Labor Day)

As we celebrate Labor Day let us remember that we celebrate the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. 

Pray for the strength, prosperity and well- being of our church as we seek to be faithful followers of Jesus!

Tuesday, September 5: 

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  John 13:35

Let us remember that Jesus told us that the greatest commandments were to Love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. 

Ask God to help you love like Jesus.

Wednesday, September 6:

Ask God to help you seek opportunities to serve God.

Ask God to grant you a servant’s heart.

Thursday, September 7:

“Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at His sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.” Psalm 27:6

As all of our choirs are resuming after the summer, ask God to show you how you might share your gifts to bless the Lord.  (If singing is your gift, prayerfully consider joining the choir!)

Friday, September 8:

Pray for those who are homebound in our congregation. 

Might a visit from you help make their day special?

Saturday, September 9: 

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13

Pray for our world and for God’s peace to overflow where there is hatred and strife. 

Sunday, September 10:

Today our children will be receiving their “Living By Faith” skill sheets. 

Pray for our children to hide these wonderful truths in their hearts.

Pray for our parents and leaders as they spend time helping our children memorize God’s word.

Monday, September 11: 

“Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:2-4

“Patience is a virtue”, we have heard it said.  How are you practicing patience in the world today?

Ask God to help you to wait on the Lord. 

Be still today and listen for God’s still small voice.

Tuesday, September 12: 

Remember those in our church and community who have lost loved ones.  Ask God to hear their heart and grant them His peace, which passes all understanding.

Wednesday, September 13: 

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ Jesus forgave you” Ephesians 4:32

Who do you know who needs to be shown compassion today?

Ask God to show you how you might show kindness and compassion in your daily walk.

Pray for God’s love to be evident to the world through your random acts of kindness.

Thursday, September 14:

Pray for our church family.

Pray for all the activities that take place at our church.

May the Holy Spirit breathe new life into our church and help us all life lives that reflect God.

Friday, September 15:

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.”  2 Peter 1:5-7

In a world filled with many choices, ask God to help you to choose wisely.

Ask God to help you to live for Him daily that you might be a wonderful reflection of His light and love!

Saturday, September 16: 

As football games and soccer games and school activities vie for your time, ask God to help you to place Him first in your life.

Spend time today being still and seeking after God.

Sunday, September 17: 

“Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the LORD’S commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?“ Deuteronomy 10:12-13

Give thanks to God for all your blessings.

Come and worship God today with a thankful heart.
