Tuesday, August 1:   

“Pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1

Pray for our Chicago Mission team as they minister at Ellis Avenue Baptist Church this week.  May others see Jesus in them this week! Teammembers are:  Tommy Justus, Caleb Blackman, Abarry Clubb, Heather Clubb, Sarah Griffin, Kassi Justus, Jack Lamberson, Laura Beth Murray and Hannah Ridge.

Wednesday, August 2:

Pray for all those who are traveling to get in a little more time away before school starts.

Remember our staff as they make preparations for the upcoming kick-off events.

Thursday, August 3:

“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

As the hot days of summer continue and tempers flare, pray the you can show kindness to others just a God has shown kindness to you.

Ask God to show you how to forgive those who have wronged you in some way.

Friday August 4:

Pray that you will remain steadfast and not let summer activities crowd out time each day with God. 

Pray for our families.  Ask God to bless them.

Saturday, August 5: 

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  John 13:35

Pray for our Chicago Mission Team as they travel home today. 

Ask God to give them traveling mercies.

Sunday, August 6:

“I was glad when they then said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Pray for our worship service today and ask God to help us feel the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Remember the Mars Hill University Football Team who will be arriving and attending worship with us today.  Don’t forget that we will be serving them lunch afterwards.  Helpers would be appreciated!
