During the month of October in C2C, we will be learning about ways to help immigrants and refugees. You can join us with KEY CHAINS, CARDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT and VITAMINS.
The Wyatts are CBF missionaries who live in Raleigh, NC. They work specifically with new immigrants to our country. They have asked the children to make key chains for them to give to these folks when they are able to move into their new home. We are making keychains in C2C but if you have extra ones that you would like to donate – please give them to a child at church to bring to C2C.
Heart for Lebanon is an organization based in Black Mountain that supports the Syrian children living in refugee camps in Lebanon. They serve 300 .children by providing a safe and healthy environment, medical attention and educational opportunities through their Hope Centers. Most importantly, Heart for Lebanon is offering the love of Christ to children who are in what seems to be a hopeless situation. C2C children will be making cards and letters of encouragement for the refugee children filled with stickers and balloons. The director will take them to the children in the refugee camp on one of his quarterly trips to Lebanon. If you would like to send a card or letter from you, that would be appreciated so more children can receive one.
Another way we can help is to collect vitamins for Heart for Lebanon to distribute to the children. They have asked that all vitamins be the same – Flintstones Complete Chewable Vitamins – not gummies (they will melt.) Cost is 5.98 at Walmart. Final collection date is November 15.
