Prayer & Praises: August 15th - 21st

In this final week before school starts, pray for those who will be traveling and getting away for this final time of vacation for the summer.

Pray that this last week of school vacation will enhance family relationships.

Pray for those who have lost loved ones in recent months.

Pray for our world and our world leaders that they would seek God’s wisdom and guidance.

…sing to God, sing praises to God, tell of all God’s wonderful acts. 1 Chronicles 16:9

Give thanks for the Mars Hill Baptist Church Music Ministry.

Pray for the Chancel Choir as they resume rehearsal this evening at 6:30 p.m.

Prayerfully consider if God is calling YOU to offer your gifts and talents to praise God through the music ministry!

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 52:10

Be still and quiet before God, asking God to show you anything in your daily living that is hindering your witness.

Spend quiet time with God listening for God’s still, small voice.

Pray that your life reflects God’s love for all people.

Pray for our families as they make preparation for their children to return to school on Monday.

And all the children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. Isaiah 54:13

Pray our parents will make a commitment to bringing their children and joining us for Sunday School each Sunday.

Ask God to be with Mars Hill University students as they move back into their dorms this weekend.

Pray for our service of Blessing of the Backpacks today as our children prepare to return to school this week.

Pray for our Deacon’s as they meet this evening to finalize the work being done on the Visioning Plan.
